I was born and bred in the South Island of New Zealand. I grew up in Motueka. I played prop for my high school First XV and was a competitive swimmer. Later I moved to Christchurch to go to University where I gained a B.Sc. in Operations Research. Eight years later I finally made it to Auckland study acting.
I've alway been a bit of a performer, doing various roles throughout my childhood. However my first major role wasn't til high school where I played Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. It was after this I knew I wanted to be an actor.
I'm a graduate of the Unitec Acting Program where I studied under Murray Hutchinson, Michelle Hine and Linda Cartwright among others. I've since gone on to work professionally in theatre and film. I have also studied Meisner Technique with Michael Saccente.
In my spare time I play a bit of guitar, paint and sit on piece of fibreglass trying not to drown waiting for the perfect wave.
I am a proud member of Actors Equity New Zealand!
