Short+Sweet Auckland 2010 Gala Final tonight - the season has been a huge success. Very Happy. Also have started rehearsals on TWACAS for Catalyst this last week.

I've just been confirmed as Artistic Co-ordinator of a new short play festival going on in Auckland in January 2010. Go and check it out its called Short+Sweet.

A City of Souls the film is going to be made. Finally the bullet has been bitten. Shooting starts on 17th of August. Hopefully the finished product should arrive in time to be submitted for next years film festival.

Today we confirmed that Catalyst Theatre's next play TWACAS will be opening at the Musgrove Studio on 17th February 2010. It will feature myself, Sam Berkley and Ben Van Lier plus some others.

My solo show Slow Train in Auckland Fringe went very well. Despite the difficult time slot the workshop production received a postive review from
Theatreview. I continue to work on and develop the piece and hope to stage a
larger prodcution and tour in the future.
I appear in a Tower NZ ad which is due to screen soon on NZ TV. I also appeared in a Oatibix commercial in Great Britain.

I have been busy writing my one man show, Slow Train. A workshop season will premiere and
run during Auckland Fringe 2009 from 19th to 21st of March. I will also appear in Ben Van Lier's debut film Primary School which
screens during Auckland Fringe on March 8th.

Its a new year and a wee while since the last update. I have been working to put
plans into place for a couple of new projects. I also appeared in the final Flip The Script for STAMP at The EDGE(R) in November.
In the new year
expect to see me performing a one man play which I've been writing for a while. Slow Train will appear in the Auckland Fringe Festival
2009 in March. Also in that festival is Ben Van Lier's debut feature Primary School in which I also feature.
Catalyst are also in the process of developing a new show for late in the year and a film
adaption of A City of Souls.

A City of Soulscloses after a successful season. The show garnered good reviews
and Catalyst are now looking at the future of the work. I however
am having a well earned rest.

Jonathan just closed Daddy's Home at The Basement last night. The show was well recieved
with a couple of good reviews from Theatreview
and Lumiere Reader
. He is now full time into tech week for the Catalyst Theatre project

Jonathan has just
opened Daddy's Home at The Basement last night to a very nice
reception. He is now nearly two weeks into rehearsals for A City
of Souls and is loving working on his own play. Producer duties
still seem to swallow up most of his spare time too.

Jonathan has been
cast in the play Daddy's Home written by Laurence Dolan, directed
by Tony Forster and featuring Aaron Ward, Ruby James, Li Ming Hu and
Elizabeth McGlinn - which is due to open at the Basement Theatre in
mid September.
He is also still hard at work producing A City of Souls.

come off tour with Ugly Shakespeare Company in NZ and Australia and
is glad to be home.
